All groups created in Knowly need a group leader. The group leader acts as a coordinator for the group and ensures that the meeting is booked and carried out.

Before the meeting, the group leader is responsible for:

1) To determine the date and time for when the group meeting will take place and create a link to the meeting (if it takes place virtually).

2) Choose whether to send calendar invitations to all group participants.
3) Book the meeting

After the meeting, the group leader is responsible for:
4) Confirm that the meeting has taken place and write meeting notes if any such were made during the meeting.

How to choose a group leader

Knowly will appoint a group leader for each group when creating your groups. You, as an administrator, can then change group leaders for each group if you wish. To do this, go to the People tab, then tap Group Divisions. In the list of each group, you see which participant has become a group leader. To change the group leader, tap make leader to the right of the new group leader's name.

When you schedule a group meeting in Knowly, an invitation is sent to all group members via email or text, just as with other activities in the learning journey. The group leader then receives explicit instructions in his email explaining what is expected. You can edit these email notifications via notifications in the group meeting settings.
